Caledon Sweet Dreams "Chloe"

"Chloe"
Ch. Primo The Scottsman "McLeod"  x  Caledon True Story "Kayla"

When I first saw this little girl, she was only nine months old -- I was instantly enchanted.  I knew that even if she never grew big enough to be shown, she had to be mine.

Chloe has fulfilled every hope and more.  She continues to improve with age, and her iunquenchable spirit cannot be contained.  We are tickled that she is now pointed and on her way to her championship.

Chloe is shown here at nine months of age -- a delightful, enchanting little girl, all 13 1/4" of her!

Chloe passed her Delta Society evaluation to become a "therapy dog" (animal assisted activities & animal assisted therapy).  She performed very well, and demonstrated excellent aptitude, earning a "complex" rating, meaning that she will be eligible to visit in all manner of situations, including the most difficult.  We are very proud of Chloe!

Two words describe Chloe -- Effervescent & Irrepressible!

It's hard to believe so much personality could be wrapped up in such a tiny package.  This little girl is my drama queen.  After Chloe runs around the field for a while, she staggers toward me with her legs splayed out, breathing loudly, as if to say, "This running is KILLING me."  Then she flops over on her side dramatically, racing off lickety-split a moment later to chase after the other dogs.

She's also the one who races around the agility course taking jumps, etc. like a pro on the lead.  Sometimes, when you take her off lead, she races for the requested jump, stops abruptly, and then dances with her front paws, saying (in a little baby girl voice), "Oh, I can't!  I just caaaaannn't!"

If she perceives that you are not happy with her performance on the course (such as when she takes the tunnel instead of a jump) she gets very sad and has to be cheered back up before she will go on.  You do not have to say a word to let her know you aren't happy with her run... she just knows it.  However, as soon as she is assured you still love her, she brightens back up and is off and running again.

As far as Miss Chloe is concerned, this world was designed for PLAY, and every creature and critter in it was created expressly for her enjoyment.  My only complaint about the little wench is that she likes to go on "scampers," meaning that if she is successful in slipping out the door, woe betide the person trying to catch her!  That little thing can run so fast in circles around you, you'd swear her ribcage touches the ground as she bends through the turns.

Chloe has yet to meet a stranger.   The moment her presence is acknowledged, the tail wagging starts -- so vigorously that she begins whipping back and forth at mid-back, sometimes knocking her own legs out from under her.

Miss Chloe will make a fabulous therapy dog. I'm looking forward to sharing her delightful, loving attributes with those who don't get to enjoy a dog on a regular basis.

A heartfelt thank you to Barbara Aulbach of Caledon Kennels for allowing me to take this young lady home.  I fell hard for her the moment I saw her, and she continues to make my life joyful on a daily basis.
