Dusty -- a gorgeous
dog...
Ch. Dusty
Shown ungroomed, above
Dusty is an extraordinarily beautiful dog,
exhibiting the type and elegance desired in a Shetland Sheepdog --
his head is a breeder's dream with a fat, round muzzle, parallel planes,
smooth, flat forehead with no deepening in the backskull and full
dentition. He stands foresquare, with a nice level topline, beautiful
angulation, and wonderful movement. Even ungroomed, as shown in these
photos, he is breathtaking to behold.
Dusty started off his show career with a
bang, taking first in his 9-12 sable dog class at the Riverside
National. He was retired from the show ring shortly thereafter, taking
it back up several years later under the loving care of Barbara Aulbach.
With her training and guidance, he captured ten points, including both his
majors. After a short visit with me, he went to Texas with Guy Mauldin
(Kismet), where he finished his championship and now stands at stud. He
has sired a number of nice litters already!

Dusty was standing at stud at Wyndsong
Shelties for a short time courtesy of his owner, Elicia Stevens. We were very proud to have this outstanding young man with us --
not only is he a handsome boy, but he's a joy to have around as well. We greatly miss his playful
ways and loving personality.
While here, Dusty sired two litters, one of
which resulted in Can
Ch. Wyndsong's Shiloh... At seven months, four days, she
completed her Canadian championship in a whirlwind weekend of shows.

Dusty's pedigree is an
outstanding blend of Benayr, Town Cryer and Simmore lines. He epitomizes
the image of an elegant yet masculine dog.
