Ch. Westar's Graebel
Puppies!!!

Graebel is producing beautiful puppies with wonderful head detail and expression, very pleasing overall balance, and exceptionally loving personalities.  His babies are very distinctive, with sweet eyes and expressions, full muzzles, and tons of promise for the show ring.

Boreal's Diamond In The Rough "Coal"
by Ch. Westar's Graebel x Beckward's Dustcatcher

Wins third in the quality packed 12-18 sable dog class
at the 2006 ASSA National in Virginia Beach
the day after he turned a year old!

Greats fronts and rears, long tails.  Beautiful heads and expression, nice ears.  Wonderfully playful, stable temperaments.  They are eleven weeks old in these photos...

Coal, aka "LB" for "Little Boy" was the pick male in this litter.
This puppy really carries the Dina/Dharma look.

Miss Priss (now known as Celeste) was Mike's favorite girl...
She was the first into everything, and is now the
reigning princess at the Iler home in Fairbanks.

Boreal's Rhapsody Fem Fatale
Celeste at a year old, taken May 2006 at the
Fairbanks shows.  She should begin taking the ring by
storm as soon as she grows coat.

The dam is a nicely constructed shaded sable bitch by Am/Can Ch. Lakewood's Gold Exchange, a Ch. Barwoods Entrepreneur ROM ROMC son.  She is a quiet, sweet girl and a nice mover, but with a longer, more extreme head.  When Mike presented her to me for breeding to another of my dogs, I suggested Ch. Westar's Graebel instead.

I believed that with Graebel's carefully inbred pedigree, he would be a sire potent for the virtues Mike needed for his bitch.  As many in the sheltie world know, the Westar look is extremely desireable -- with smooth, flat head planes and melting expressions.  I hoped that Graebel would be pre-potent for this virture, and would also complement the dam's assets.

True to expectation, Graebel has produced a beautifully consistent litter with no obvious pets -- puppies with gorgeous head pieces and expression, and lovely bodies.  The kind of litter you are forced to "nit-pick" apart to choose the "keepers."

We are very excited to see such a fabulous result right out of the starting box.

Graebel's second litter is also very promising, out of another total outcross who needed head detailing.  This is a photo of that litter, taken when they were nine weeks old...

Wyndsong's Cinnamon Sugar,
Wyndsong's Cinnamon Twist,
Wyndsong's Coriander & Wyndsong's Sage

by Ch. Westar's Graebel x Kalyn's Rock This Country

They are Sugar, Megan (with Barbara Aulbach in Oregon),
Corey (with a little girl also in Oregon) and Sage (soon to be
in a performance home in Oregon).

Wyndsong's Desiree
Ch. Westar's Graebel x Caledon Autumn Splendor
(shown at 8 weeks of age)

Desiree may give the impression of being a princess
in this photo, but she is truly the sweetest, most
loving puppy, which is typical of a Graebel baby.
Very easy going and snuggly, and a great travel companion!

This is the gorgeous Summerlove boy at 9 weeks of age
out of Ch Summerloves Country Charm, OAJ, NA, HT, VC
