Jamie is an exciting young man out of the long anticipated breeding I did with Barbara Aulbach, Caledon Kennels in Scappose, Oregon.  Jamie's dam is Caledon Catera (Tess), a Westar's Maxima (Ryder) daughter out of Barbara's wonderful producer, Caledon True Story.  

With that heritage, it was natural that we chose BISS Ch Westar's Dynasty (Blake) to go with her.  On Sunday morning, December 14, 2003, Tess presented us with four girls and this wonderful boy.  Three girls turned out absolutely gorgeous, but small, and are now in pet and performance homes.  I chose Jamie as my pick puppy, and Barbara kept a very promising female, Marti, who unfortunately went oversize.  

Jamie is a very appealing dog, with a wonderful stop and expression, beautiful ears and neck, nice short back, beautifully angulated front, nice rear and good tail set.  Best of all, he is a fun loving, confident, SILLY boy who scampers and plays his way into everyone's hearts.  His favorite word is "cookie!"  

At just a few days past six months of age, Jamie competed in his first shows in Whitehorse (Canada).  He did very well, winning a Best Puppy in Breed and comporting himself very well for a baby.  

At a subsequent Alaska Kennel Club show (less than two weeks past his sixth month birthday), he won 2nd place in a large and very competitive Bred-By class against older, coated dogs.  His first time back out in August 2005, not quite in coat, he garnered a RWD in strong competition.  Then he went completely out of coat, and was out of the ring until spring 2006.  

Thanks to Judge David Calderwood for putting him up as RWD at the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Anchorage specialty, and to Mrs. Meredith Johnson-Snyder for his 4 point BOW major!!  He  followed that up with another 3 point BOW win from the Bred By class, and three more 2 point wins (two of them were BOW).  He finished in fine style at the August 2007 shows.   

We are VERY proud of this boy!  He is currently loved by a wonderful couple in Fairbanks who are preparing him for his next foray into the competition arena -- in obedience and agility!
