Miss Lydia winning a four point major in January 2006

The whole gang... including Judge Robert J. Shreve, Shirley Boniface,
handler Sarah Frost, Renee Boniface, and co-owners Robin Miller & me
Lydia's win in March 2006 was especially meaningful for a whole
crowd of people. Her breeder was Don Bickford, who died in January
2006. Don had every hope for this girl when he sent her to me.
However, she was slow to mature, and didn't develop coat until nearly four years
old. Watching her win was a very special treat to those of us who loved Don.
Lydia was taken into the ring by Sarah Frost,
whom she adores. Lydia had not been in the ring for a couple of years,
but she remembered it all very well, and enjoyed herself immensely. She
will be back out in the near future.
Another special era in Lydia's life -- she is now Roydon
Midnight Magic RA, earning her first rally title at the 2006 Shetland Sheepdog
Club of Anchorage obedience and rally trial. If her "mom" hadn't
muffed it up, she would have finished with a score in the 90's...

Immense
personality in a captivating little package! Lydia's
favorite thing to do is to go for a ride. As soon as
you pick up your keys, she begins pirouetting. When you return home,
she jumps out of the truck and then dances beside the door in
hopes she can convince you to reload her and drive somewhere else.
I used to take my dogs to the ball field nearly every day to run. Lydia is only
14 inches tall,
but she manages to keep up or outrun the larger dogs. She is also
the last to quit and is rarely panting even when the others are flopping to the
ground. Her running style is fast and low... that head
goes down and
she virtually streaks across the field in a blur of black fur. It amazes me
that she doesn't snap herself in half. Her
kids are also amazingly agile. Her daughter Wyndsong's Indy Blue Tigress
NA, NAJ (a BISS Ch. Hannalore Tiger Rag daughter) is burning up the agility
rings. Indy's litter sister Tori (Wyndsong's Music To My Ears, formerly
known as Melody) is doing well in agility also.
Lydia is now
co-owned with my friend Robin Miller, and lives with her and her
husband.
