Puppies
at Wyndsong
Puppies are just
about the most wonderful creatures
God ever created...
Sheltie puppies
are even better than that!
Breeding
Philosophy
We never breed simply to have
puppies.
Our emphasis is on producing quality, not quantity, with one or two litters a
year. Each breeding is carefully planned with the objective of producing outstanding show
prospects for ourselves and occasionally another trusted sheltie exhibitor. We want healthy,
well-adjusted puppies with excellent temperaments.
On occasion we
will have puppies who are best suited in companion homes -- for example, they
may be too large or too small for the conformation ring. In those cases,
we make them available to
approved homes, with a spay or neuter contract.
We have a very
strong responsibility to ensure our beloved babies are
placed in loving, forever homes. We carefully evaluate each puppy's temperament to ensure the owners will
enjoy and treasure their new companion.
We work hard to make
certain each puppy is placed in an appropriate companion or performance
oriented home (obedience, herding, tracking or agility). The most
important element however, is that the puppy will mature
in a home where he will be loved and allowed to blossom
to his fullest potential.
